Tria Bridgeman is a Community Work Incentives Coordinator (CWIC) with Empower TN. Her educational background is in Family and Consumer Sciences. For over 19 years, Tria has been instrumental in working with individuals with disabilities. She has extensive experience with explaining the effects of employment on Supplemental Security Income, Social Security Disability Benefits, Medicaid, Medicare and all other public assistance programs. Prior to her role as a CWIC, she worked with the Protection & Advocacy for Beneficiaries of Social Security (PABSS) program. She provided information about employment and other available services to assist individuals in securing, maintaining or regaining employment. She helped in advocating for transition services for high school aged youth with disabilities and provided assistance with obtaining reasonable accommodations within the work place. She worked closely with community partners in increasing awareness of many barriers that impact individuals with disabilities in their return to work efforts. Tria’s focus is to impact financial independence through employment opportunities for beneficiaries with disabilities.
